Telehealth should be approached in a professional manner, as with any other patient consultation.
You should familiarise yourself with AHPRA’s telehealth guidelines before starting to offer telehealth consultations, and abide by these at all times.
You will receive an SMS and e-mail notification of any bookings made. It is your responsibility to make sure you are online and logged in to your meeting room in time for the patient’s arrival
If you decide to offer video consults, you will not be an employee by Simple Online Healthcare. To get started, you will need to
- Have your own Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Have an ABN
- Be registered for GST
- Be responsible for your own PAYG liability
- Be responsible for your own workers compensation and superannuation.
You will need to contact your PI provider to check that telehealth consultations are covered under your policy. Whilst most insurers do now include telehealth cover, it is your responsibility to check your cover.
Doctors – You can set your own rate for the different types of consultations, which are typically between 15-30 minutes long. You will retain 65-75% of the fee charged, depending on the number of consultations provided each month.
Psychologists – You can set your own rate for the different types of consultations, which are typically between 45-60 minutes long. You will retain 75-85% of the fee charged, depending on the number of consultations provided each month.
We will pay you on a monthly basis directly into your bank account.
